The optimum time in which to have your 3D/4D scan is between 27 and 32 weeks gestation. We generally see considerable movement during this time and get the best images. This is an exciting time as baby’s face is well developed.

Some Mothers choose to have their baby’s scanned several times during their pregnancy to capture images of different stages of growth. We offer a 10% discount for return visits during your pregnancy or a subsequent pregnancy.

Earliest time for Gender Determination
If you can’t wait to find out if you are having a boy or girl, we are able to tell your baby’s gender from 18 weeks onwards.

Early Pregnancy Scanning – 18 to 26 weeks *
From 18 to 26 weeks we generally get good images of baby’s entire body, however please be aware that baby’s face will not look as completely formed as it does after 26 weeks.

Later Pregnancy Scanning - After 32 weeks *
Shortly after 32 weeks we often get great pictures of baby’s face, however it can be more unpredictable. This is due the fact that there is less movement during this period. As baby grows, baby’s home gets a little crowded!

Please note: If you choose to schedule your appointment prior to 27 weeks or after 32 weeks, your pictures may not be as optimal as if you had booked your scan between 27 and 32 weeks.
